Carrot Cake

The Commissary served its first carrot cake nearly 35 years ago. Since then, it has become a Philadelphia legend. Moist layers of spicy cake are spiked with raisins and pecans, layered with caramel pecan filling and frosted with a tangy cream cheese frosting dusted with toasted coconut. Carrot cakes are available in two sizes. A small carrot cake serves up to 14 people and a large carrot cake serves up to 22 people. Carrot cakes require 48 hour notice.
