This month, the touring Dead Sea Scrolls arrive at the Franklin Institute and we here at Frog Commissary couldn’t be more excited. Dead Sea Scrolls: Life and Faith in Ancient Times includes twenty of the scrolls found in the Dead Sea excavation of 1947—the earliest biblical texts ever discovered
. Visitors can also see a three-ton stone from Jerusalem’s Western Wall, limestone ossuaries from the early Roman period and limestone capitals from the first temple period.

Celebrating One Year Anniversary at The Laureates Conference Center
Frog Commissary is proud to be celebrating our first anniversary in the Franklin Institute’s Laureates Conference Center. The new addition to the Science Museum has added a dimension for our corporate clients who seek state of the art meeting space complete with media, audio, Wi-Fi and breakout rooms. The boutique conference center is 5,000 square feet and perfect for seminars up to 200 guests. The two smaller breakout rooms boast 90” flat screens and are also ideal for smaller, intimate meetings.
Not all Halloween sweets are created equal!
Not all Halloween sweets are created equal. After all, anyone can pick up a bag of pre-wrapped miniatures from the supermarket. Taking the time to bake your own cookies puts you into another trick-or-treating class altogether. These gingersnaps from At Home combine the fragrant spices of fall with a tempting layer of chocolate and crunchy walnuts for a sweet yet sophisticated treat.

Here are some recipes from At Home by Steve Poses that will carry you through the rest of the season and around the calendar, quenching your thirst along the way.
Heat wave number six !
This is heat wave number six here in Philly, according to the meteorologists, and the best way to ride it out is to stay inside, eat cool foods and avoid turning on the oven at all costs. To help you out, we’re sharing one of our favorite summertime recipes from At Home, our Tex-Mex Chopped Salad, a tangle of crispy vegetables and tortilla shards with a bright avocado dressing. Add a cerveza or a margarita and call it dinner. No sweat.
