A great place to eat…

Frog Commissary Catering got its start in the restaurant business in the 1970s with Steve Poses’ legendary eateries Frog and The Commissary. Today, we are proud to operate the fine restaurants of the Franklin Institute, which are open to museum visitors as well as the general public, offering high-quality family-friendly fare at an exceptional value.

Frog Burger is a no-frills hamburger and shake stand open during the summer months on the front lawn of The Franklin Institute. Featuring hamburgers — so juicy you might want a bib, potato chips and shakes made with Bassett’s ice cream, Frog Burger is informal and homegrown — reminiscent of a backyard barbecue with a tent, big grill and picnic tables. Other specialties include fried green tomatoes, grilled corn with chili-lime butter and the signature “Love Burger” a hamburger with two grilled-cheese sandwiches in lieu of a roll and topped with special sauce. Frog Burger also serves beer, wine and sangria. Frog Burger is open to the public daily, 11:30 a.m.-dusk, weather permitting through the end of October. Closed for the season. See you next spring!
